Nerikomi
Explore the Japanese art form of Nerikomi!
+ Lesson length
In this two hour session you’ll perfect your very own ceramic creation.
+ What you will make
Nerikomi is a decorative technique established in Japan that involves stacking coloured clay and slicing through the cross section to reveal an infinite variety of random patterns, which can then be used as an applied decoration.
Once fired and glazed, your piece will be completely functional. Perfect for the microwave, dishwasher, or as a home for your favourite plant.
+ What you will make
This class will focus on students producing up to two pieces- whether a dish, plate, vessel, or mug.. the choice is up to you!
+ Drinks
Not necessary, but always fun. Grab a coffee and some snacks from your fave cafe (stop by Opus Cafe on the way), and you can drink and snack as you create.
(COVIDSafety, please do make sure you bring all the goodies you may need including cups, plates, ect.)
