CHRISTMAS PARTIES & PRIVATE CLASSES

Here at Clay Wollongong, we pride ourselves on helping you host events that bring people together, learn new skills, and above all, have fun.

Our Wollongong studio has the capacity for intimate workshops of 8 or more, through to energetic sessions of up to 40 people.

For off site events, we’ve previously taught 150 attendees, and are very happy to go bigger - just tell us where and when.

Our clients have included such brands as Google, Domain, Foxtel, Ernst & Young, and Channel 9.

What are my private class options?

In-Studio Wheel

People: min 8 - max 12

Duration: 90 mins 

$85pp

(You’re welcome to have less than 8 people, however there is a
minimum charge $640)

Our wheel throwing taster is the perfect first step into the world of ceramics.

If you've always wanted to try it out, but aren't sure where to start, this is it.  our taster class is perfect for beginners.

This session is for those who'd like to be laid back and chill - if you're after something more social, Wine and Class Handbuilding is the way to go.

 In-Studio Half & Half

People: min 8 - max 24

Duration: 120 mins 

$85pp

(You’re welcome to have less than 8 people, however there is a
minimum charge $640)

This option is perfect if you have more than 12 people but are still wanting to try your hand at the wheel.

We split your group in 2 and each group gets 1 hour of wheel throwing and 1 hour of handbuilding. You can then choose one piece to have glazed and fired. If you love both pieces, it is $10 for each additional fired piece.

This session is perfect for those wanting to experience the diversity in ceramic techniques in a relaxed, fun setting.

In-Studio Handbuilding: Our Iconic Wine & Clay

Capacity: min 12 - max 40 in studio

Duration: 2 hours

10-15 people $85pp

16 -40 people $80pp includes an additional assistant

(You’re welcome to have less than 12 people, however there is
a minimum charge of $960)

By far our most popular class is our Wine and Clay sessions, and you can probably guess why... cheers!

In this two hour session, you’ll socialise, enjoy BYO nibbles and drinkies, and perfect your very own ceramic creation under the guiding hand of our expert handbuilding tutors. It’s fun, social, and everyone makes something!

We focus on form and texture make your vessel; be it a vase, a planter, a mug, or something all you.

Of course, if you’d prefer not to bring wine, that’s fine too! We can be as family-friendly (or not) as you need.

 Out-of-Studio Handbuilding

Capacity: the sky’s the limit 

Locations: you tell us where, and we’ll be there

Duration: 2 hours, plus bump in/out

Within Inner Sydney. Additional travel expenses may apply for
further afield, or for complicated bump-ins.

The beauty of our handbuilding sessions is they can be infinitely scaled up. As long as you’ve got a surface to work on, we’ll bring everything else you’ll need. 

After the class we take away your work to our studio to be glazed, fired and ready for pickup a few weeks later.

 KIDS PARTIES

It’s time to get building & painting! You can choose from one of our Clay School options including, Make & Paint a Creature, Fairy Kingdom Workshop, Self-Guided Clay Play or one of our Wheel Throwing sessions.

Each child will make one piece which will be glazed and fired by us to pick up 3-4 weeks later.

People: min 5 - max 16 (max 12 for wheel sessions)

Time: Sessions run for 1 hour.

Wanting to have cake and food? Additional time is $70 for every 30 minutes.

Cost: $45 per child. Adults will need to purchase a ticket if making a piece.

This session is suitable for kids, aged 4+ with an accompanied adult. 

Our Wheel classes are suitable for kids aged 8 and upwards.
